Digest-All Plus™ for healthy digestion & nutrition

Every living organism depends on enzymes for survival.

In nature, wild animals continually replenish digestive enzymes through the ingestion of freshly killed prey. When enzymes are not present in the right amounts, your pet may be unable to digest their food correctly, effectively robbing them of valuable nutrients. When enzyme levels are low, pets may not efficiently break down food, which can impact nutrient availability. Supplementing with enzymes helps support healthy digestion and nutrient absorption for overall wellness.

Of the three major classes of enzymes, digestive enzymes are responsible for breaking down food into its constituent nutrients for the body to utilize. Different enzymes break down different foods. When enzyme stores are low, it is harder for the digestive system to break down fats, proteins, and carbohydrates. Wholistic Digest-All Plus™ is a unique enzyme blend of pure, freeze-dried, plant, and plant-based enzymes with added maximum concentrations of prebiotics and probiotics. Formulated for maximum digestive support!

An Advanced Formula with Proven Results

Protease (dried Bacillus subtilis fermentation product) is a digestive enzyme that breaks down peptide bonds found in proteins into the building blocks of amino acids, which can then be easily absorbed by the body through the intestinal walls. In addition, protease decreases the alkalinity of blood, which can help protect against calcium-deficiencies.

Amylase (dried Aspergillus niger fermentation product) is a digestive enzyme that helps break down sugars and starches (complex carbohydrates), which are then converted into monosaccharides used by the body for energy.

Cellulase (dried Rhizopus oryzae fermentation extract product) is a digestive enzyme that breaks down cellulose fiber into glucose, which is then used by the body for energy. It is also important in the construction of cell membranes.

Hemicellulase (dried Trichoderma reesei fermentation product) is a digestive enzyme used to help digest plant materials.

Lipase (dried Aspergillus oryzae fermentation product) is a digestive enzyme needed to help break down fats and form essential fatty acids needed to ensure viable cells. Lipase promotes healthy cholesterol levels, maintenance of healthy weight and promotes the process of cell permeability, ensuring that the body can assimilate nutrients.

Bromelain (dried Ananas comosus fermentation product) is a digestive enzyme found in pineapples that helps break down proteins into amino acids. It can be used to treat a number of conditions, but is primarily effective in the reduction of inflammation.

Papain (dried Carica papaya fermentation extract product) is a digestive enzyme found in papaya that breaks down peptide bonds in proteins into amino acids which are then available for use by the body.

Plant-based Lactobacillus acidophilus is one of the best-known friendly bacteria and is needed for maintaining a healthy and balanced intestinal microflora. It produces lactic acid in the intestines, which suppresses harmful microbes and aids in preventing yeast overgrowth by increasing its acidity. A pro-biotic bacterium also boosts immune function, increases an animal’s resistance to infection, enhances the digestion of lactose and aids in the production of vitamins and enzymes. By helping to maintain digestive flora, lactobacillus acidophilus can also be used to help prevent diarrhea.

One of the most significant “friendly bacteria” needed for maintaining a healthy and balanced intestinal tract. It inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria and also boosts the immune system by producing lactic acid in the intestines.

Fructooligosaccharide (FOS) is a prebiotic that helps stimulate the growth and activity of the probiotics Lactobacillus acidophilus, and Bifidobacterium longum.

Thank you!!! My happy goofy boy is back!

I have a 2 1/2 yr old GSD that always had unusually soft stools. At 10 weeks old they had form, but barely and the color was yellowish tan which I know isn't right. Also he was eating stools in the yard from my other dog as well as various non food items mostly fabrics. He seemed to have an obsession with blankets and anything stuffed. I was told a dog will sometimes do this if they are lacking nutrients. So my journey began to find a high quality food my boy could digest. No matter what foods I tried nothing seemed to work. Over the course of his first year I did a lot of research and tried many highly recommended brands, different proteins, grain free, and limited ingredient diets. Throughout this process he continued to deteriorate and eventually started scratching and chewing constantly. I was at a loss and my vet seemed set on repeatedly treating him for parasites whether he tested positive or not. He always had an elevated temp and blood tests came back with a higher than normal white cell count pointing to infection, inflammation or parasites. The only time I saw improvement was when he actually tested positive for Giardia. I now know that the temporary relief was the result of the antibiotics. It took less than a week of being off of them to go right back to scratching and chewing incessantly. Next came the demodex mange. All dogs carry demodex mange mites, but overpopulation of them is kept in check by the immune system. His was obviously weaked for some reason, but I guess figuring out why wasn't a priority for my vet. So to date he's been treated for GI parasites 3 times, but only tested positive once and had to undergo a 2 month course of oral ivermectin twice daily for the mange. It worked initially even though the medication made him vomit quite often. At 18 months old only 2 months later I started to see the telltale signs that the mange was back. I was done with the bandaid approach my vet kept taking and resorted to the one thing all vets hate. Internet research. Just the word Google makes them cringe. The conclusion is although not confirmed I suspect my baby has been suffering from a GI disorder called EPI which progressed to SIBO. His pancreas isn't producing the enzymes needed to break down the nutrients in his food and an overgrowth of bad bacteria in his intestines. That means he's basically been slowly starving to death. Digest All Plus saved my boy. I've been adding it to his Canidae Pure dog food for a few weeks now and the improvement was immediate and drastic. Actual solid stools that are the right color for the first time in his life. His energy level has significantly increased too. He was not emaciated by any means, but definitely thinner than he should be. He's a bit taller and longer than your average GSD so his ideal weight should be closer to 90. He was at 72 lbs a year ago and before the enzymes he wasn't gaining. Today he is just under 81 lbs without increasing his food intake. He is producing only 2 stools a day. The results speak for themselves. His body can now break down and utilize the nutrients in his food. Thank you Wholistic Pet Organics. Because of you I have an affordable option to keep him healthy and happy.

Very reputable company with great products. Just didn't work for my dog's rare problem.

I am a big fan of Wholistic products. They have served me very well in the past. However, I have a dog who has PLE (inability to process fats), so has digestive problems. After using this for quite a while, I have decided to discontinue it since I haven't seen a great change. Recently, I decided to cut out some of the additives I was using and see no adverse affects. I'm certain that this is a very good product. It just is not helping in this particular case. Although the size of the jar is small, the dosage is quite small also, so it lasts a very long time. Therefore, I give it 5 starts for value for money and in my experience with this company, 5 stars also for dog health. This dog's problem is not a common thing, generally genetic (questionable since it didn't start until age 9). I've been raising and breeding dogs for 60 years and have never had anything like this before and had never heard of it. I did give it a 5 star because I know the company is top notch and the product did seem to work in addition to many other supplements for a while. (This latest subscription did not arrive because of delay in shipping for some unknown reason. If the dog regresses, I may go back to using this again.)

Helps tremendously with recurring GI issues.

I have a rescued pup who has some pretty serious bowel issues. He was getting diarrhea almost weekly, and the vet couldn't find any obvious causes. We changed his diet, and it helped a little, but not much. We put him on a different probiotic, and it helped a little but not much. So we were having to constantly give him medicine for his stomach. He was on a high quality, grain free diet, and I was starting to worry about the toll that so much medicine would take on him. His coat was dull, and in some places was thinning. I tried this based on a recommendation from a colleague who had a rescue with similar issues. This is an amazing product. Within two days, his BM's were solid. Within a week, he had more energy. After that, his coat got shinier and thicker, and he stopped shedding excessively. He is actually excited to eat now, rather than having to be coaxed to eat. It was difficult to have a constantly sick pup and know that he was in pain, but I didn't realize just what a toll it took on everyone (time, emotions, money, etc.), until we found a remedy. I had tried other probiotics that didn't really do anything, so I was hesitant to spend the money on this. However, this works. I use one scoop with each meal (two a day) and he hasn't had diarrhea in a year. It works so well that sometimes I can even skip the probiotic and he doesn't get sick. (A few times a week, he gets his meal via a puzzle toy, and you can't really put this powder in one of those toys.) If you have a dog that even sometimes has GI issues, this will make them feel better and will make your life easier too. It is completely worth the cost.

Worth it 100% and 100% recommended

We have used this supplement on our dogs food for numerous years. Trying to save a little money we decided to forgo this and allowed it run out figuring we would just use plain unsweetened yogurt. Within 2 weeks of our boxer not having this with his meals, the flatulence was not only terrible, it was caustic. Boxers are known for this "silent yet deadly" issue and Gabe had never had a problem with flatulence until we stopped giving him this product. Needless to say after a couple of weeks of increasing stench we reordered. I would say within a week of having this supplement at each meal, his problem /our issue stopped. We are back to a stench free environment and will continue to purchase this supplement. A container lasts a good amount of time. In the long run, it is not that expensive when weighed against to what his stomach must feel like without it and the stench we have to deal with.I highly recommend Digest All Plus and this company. Our dogs have never has a bad reaction to any of their products and they actually work. It is a great product, does what it says it does and for us only has positive side effects.
