Alexandria "Sandy" (Abrams) Phillips, 67, of Bedford, NH passed away on November 21, 2017. She passed peacefully in her home with family by her side after a long battle with cancer.
She was born in Worcester, MA on June 9, 1950, the daughter of William J and Alexandria (Astukewicz) Abrams. She was a graduate of SUNY at Delhi where she received an AS degree in Animal Science. She continued her education at Anna Marie College and received a BS in Medical Technology and eventually earning her Master's Degree in Education from Notre Dame College.
Sandy's passion in life were her animals. From raising and showing her champion Dobermans to riding and caring for her horses. This love was the foundation for what has become Wholistic Pet Organics and The Wholistic Pet and Equine Center in Bedford, NH. She spent everyday working along side her family doing what she loved – helping pet owners around the world care for their beloved pets.
Her devotion to her family and her business was truly admired by all that met her. She lived everyday with the simply motto, "family is everything".
Family members include her husband of 36 years, John "Jack" J. Phillips, Jr. JD; two sons, Ryan J. Phillips and his wife Sarah of Bedford, and Russell W. Phillips of Bedford; two grandchildren, Weston and Carson; her sister, Julianna Schab and her husband Ronald of Wake Forest, NC; and two nephews, Michael and Jeffrey, and his husband Wade Giles.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Boston Children's Hospital where Sandy worked for numerous years, and to the Oncology Department of Massachusetts General Hospital.
