Like humans, dogs and cats are prone to UTI’s, a painful infection taking place anywhere along the urinary tract, including the kidneys and bladder. Research has shown that cranberries can lower the pH in the urine, making it more acidic and also help reduce bacteria from attaching to the lining of the tract. This action makes it a hostile environment for pH sensitive bacteria to live.

Likewise, cranberries may help your pup maintain good dental health. Bad breath is just the beginning. Unless you are lucky enough to have a tooth brushing canine, food particles and bacteria can collect along the gum line, creating plaque that will form into tartar.

Research at the University of Rochester School of Medicine found that pure cranberries make it difficult for the bacteria that causes cavities to cling to tooth surfaces. Bacteria utilize specific enzymes (glucosyltransferases) to build dental plaque piece by piece. Cranberries help reduce bacteria from forming plaque by inhibiting those enzymes, which halts the accumulation of additional bacteria.

Contains many important nutrients including vitamin C, flavonoids, citric acid and omega-3 which is found in the seeds. Cranberries are also a healthy source of antioxidants and are especially helpful in preventing bacteria, most notably E. coli, from adhering to the walls of the urinary tract. In addition, cranberry is a naturally acidic fruit that can be used as an aid in the prevention of alkaline urinary calculi. Also aids in the prevention of tooth decay by inhibiting growth of tarter.

Awesome product

Before using WholeCran Intense, our female Flat Coated Retriever was suffering constantly from UTI’s. A friend suggested Wholistic Pet Organics WholeCran Intense, as it did wonders for her female. I ordered it right then, received the product in a short time, and began using it immediately. I’m happy to say we have been giving the WholeCran Intense to our girl for almost a year now and she has not had any UTI’s since then. Awesome product!

Fresher Breath!

We have been loving the WholCran Intense. Not only can it benefit their oral and urine tract health, they actually love the flavor. I have been adding it daily to their food, or into their frozen bites. While I’m all for my pups health and happiness, it’s a huge bonus to love find things that they love the taste of. It makes it easy to just add to their meal without adding other things to mask the taste.

So far their breath has been fresher the last few days after using it for a couple weeks!

Rocco & Paulie are obsessed with this! They love the smell and mama loves the coloring!! So great for their over all health too! Especially since Rocco has had urinary issues! Can be for our kitties too! They come running when they hear me open it!

resolved my senior's frequent urination
