Diatomaceous Earth for Mineral Support

Wholistic Pet Organics Diatomaceous Earth is a simple, single-ingredient supplement made from naturally occurring freshwater diatomite. Diatomaceous earth is formed from the fossilized remains of microscopic aquatic organisms called diatoms.

There are many differences in the quality of DE

First, you must ensure the product is food-grade and FDA-certified. Many companies will simply put "food-grade" on their label even though it is not (much like the word "organic" or "natural"). Customers need to understand where they are buying from and should be buying from a reputable, FDA-certified company. There are hundreds of deposits in the US, of which only four are FDA-certified to be food-grade.

Our DE is from freshwater deposits

DE from saltwater is less effective than freshwater diatoms; their shells are less fragile. Also, saltwater diatoms contain many more species and sediment, leading to a less effective product.

Clay and sediments effects on DE

Our DE is analyzed to have less clay and sediment than other food-gradeDE, which makes it less effective. This clay and sediment clog the diatoms' pores. Clean, open pores are critical for DE to work effectively. That said, our DE is truly a pure, more effective product.

Kitty health

I gave diatomaceous earth to my Cat that is around 9 years old. She sheds excessively and I was concerned that her bloated look was possibly parasites. She is still shedding a lot but does look a little less bloated. She is still on the product so hopefully it will help overall.

After advised by my vet to purchase., I did and have been using since. Works wonderfully. Very happy.

Great Product

I was recommended to buy this product from my relative who has three dogs all adopted from Antigua in the Caribbean. I then recently adopted a sweet doggy from Antigua - Carl - he is the best dog anyone could ask for and the sweetest rescue I have ever experienced. These animals are just different in so many ways and they have incredible intelligence! Anyway, Diatomaceous Earth has helped him relieve mostly the itching and licking he used to do a lot of when I first got him two months ago. I like the fact it’s a powder, it’s odorless, and tasteless. I sprinkle half a teaspoon into his food once daily - he itches and scratches a lot less and his tummy and digestion have improved remarkably! Highly recommend this product to anyone who needs a holistic remedy. Thank you!
